A South African bank recently laid off over 1,000 workers and closed down 91 branches because it is largely going digital. African organisations are hiring for new roles like Transformation Associate where there is no large precedent for filling this role. The future of work is catching up with Africa and we seemingly are not ready yet
This trend will continue until Africa is hopefully caught up and fully entrenched with the ideals of this future where work is shockingly different from what we know now.
